HFI Raises over $15,000 for Project Bread’s 52nd Annual “Virtual” Walk for Hunger
May 19, 2020

Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger, the oldest pledge walk in the country, puts a spotlight on the complex and undeniable reality of hunger in Massachusetts. Funds raised by the Walk for Hunger support Project Bread’s mission to permanently solve hunger in Massachusetts.
HFI participated in the 52 annual “virtual” Walk for Hunger and raised over $15,000 dollars for the event. We were delighted to be a part of this event and were overwhelmed with the support and response we received from staff, friends, and family. Ending the fight against hunger is a cause we care deeply about. Nobody in this country should have to go without food. The money we raised will support anti-hunger work including, expanding access to school and summer meals for kids, helping low-income residents afford groceries, and advocating for policy solutions that will have a wide-reaching impact to reduce hunger and poverty.
